How it is calculated
Litres = distance ÷ km per litre; Cost = litres × price per litre
l/100km is converted with 100 ÷ value, and mpg with mpg × 1.60934 ÷ 3.78541.
Worked example
250 km at 18 km/l needs 13.89 litres. At ₹105 a litre the trip costs about ₹1,458, which is ₹5.83 per km.
