How it is calculated

Sale price = price × (1 − discount ÷ 100) − coupon; Final = sale price × (1 + tax ÷ 100)

Percentage discounts apply first, then flat coupons, then tax — the order most checkouts use.

Worked example

A ₹2,499 item at 30% off costs ₹1,749.30. You save ₹749.70, which is 30% of the original price.

Questions people ask

The second discount applies to the already reduced price, not the original. 50% then 20% leaves you paying 40% of the original — a 60% total discount, not 70%.
