How it is calculated
Total cost = room area × (1 + wastage%) × price per m²
Wastage covers offcuts, damaged pieces and pattern matching — 10% suits a simple layout, more for diagonal or herringbone.
Worked example
A 4 × 3.5 m room (14 m²) with 10% wastage is 15.4 m². At ₹350 per m² that is ₹5,390.
